IIFA 2009 : le palmarès

La 10th so shone IIFA ended on Sunday in Macau. Summer as one surprise to expect it, big winning of this weekend should be the blockbuster Jodha Akbaar, with the stars of Bollywood Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan.

Drowned the most epic film and links it to it of 2008 carries off the award of the best film as well as that from the best film director to the person of Ashutosh Gowarikar. Hrithik Roshan as for him accepted the price of the best actor for the interpretation of the moghol emperor Akbaar. Big favourite of the Indian Oscars, Jodha Akbaar was nominated in ten categories and won every time! One without error therefore for Jodha Akbaar which also accepted the award of the best musical composition (aimed by AR Rahman) and of the best song (Jashn-e-bahaara, interpreted by Javed Ali).

The other big winning of this weekend is the actress of Bollywood Priyanka Chopra, who accepted the award of the best actress for its role in Fashion, the film of the film director Madhur Bhandarkar. It leaves so on the tile Aishwarya Rai, Katrina Kaif, Asin and Bipasha Basu, any nominees in the same category:

Asin Thottumkal will have to content himself with the award of the best debutante for his role in Ghajini in the quoting of Aamir Khan. Because even though she is a superstar of the tamoul cinema, Asin is only begin the bollywoodienne career, who promises besides to be very promising.

Other well deserved award, that of the best funny actor, awarded in Abhishek Bachchan for the role in Dostana, the gay comedy of Karan Johar. The actor of Bollywood besides declared between two gratitude that even if he was very heterosexual, he felt gay this evening!

For bit parts, IIFA rewarded on Saturday Arjun Rampal, which interprets a guitarist in Rock One. On the side of the girls, it is Kangana Ranaut which carries off the award of the best bit part for its performance in Fashion.

Very discreet and less gifted Akshaye Khanna made speak about him this weekend by carrying off the award of the best actor in a negative role for the film Breed.

Other reward, that of the best history, carried off by Neeraj Pandey for the scenario of A Wednesday, a rather controversial film on terrorism.
